Poetry of the bottles

I'm thrilled to share my second portfolio piece, where I've encountered numerous learning opportunities and challenges. My goal was to craft an imaginary scene using a multitude of references, focusing on mastering various technical aspects such as creating realistic fuzzy fur for old rope, cloth simulation, and crafting a glass shader with transmission and subsurface scattering effects for grapes shader. The journey began with gathering references and planning, followed by blocking in Photoshop. Next, I fine-tuned the camera angles to achieve my desired layout before proceeding to model everything in Maya and unwrap textures. Sculpting in ZBrush was employed to give the wooden table its antique appearance. Substance Painter was utilized to texture elements like chocolates, plates, and the aged wooden table. However, I encountered issues with rendering bottles in Arnold due to their thinness. With guidance from my mentor, Supriyo Sir, I grasped the intricacies of transmission shaders and adjusted the bottle thickness accordingly. Venturing into Marvelous Designer, I tackled simulations for the first time, striving to achieve a silk satin effect for the cloth. Constructing rope fur using XGen proved to be another learning curve, which I textured in Substance Painter. To complement the scene, I painted a brown canvas backdrop for a matte finish, crucial in photography. Lighting setup in Maya aimed for a dark and moody ambiance with rich, intense colors. Soft side lighting techniques, gleaned from research and mentorship, were employed to enhance the scene's depth and shadow play. Finally, I polished the composition in Nuke, incorporating color corrections for a flawless presentation. Despite encountering numerous technical hurdles, I'm grateful for the guidance and feedback from my mentor Supriyo Sir from MAYAKUL Academy,
